Keynote Kung-Fu coming to the Big Design Conference

I’ll speaking at this year’s Big(D) conference about how iWork’s Keynote is an indispensable design tool in my process:

Keynote Kung-Fu: How Ninjas Wireframe

Keynote is a cheap, friction-free tool to create elegant wireframes in a
format that’s perfect for presentations, pitches, and hand-offs.

Visio, Omnigraffle, and Balsamiq will be jealous

I’ve been using Keynote as my primary sketching/wireframing/low-fi prototyping tool for years now. Most people cant their head when I tell them.

Previews:

Tickets are still available, mozy on over an Register to see the show.

That’s it, I’m moving the family to Dallas. No fair that you and others get to attend all of these amazing conferences so cheaply and close to home.

I’m not a designer (by training), but I’ve designed my entire wedding in Keynote – Save the Date, Program, Reception Name Cards, Table cards, and Rehearsal Dinner Invitation, and they are amazing.

I wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I did in Photoshop.

Wish I could see your preso at Big(D)! I have family commitments that weekend, but I expect to see your deck on note and point :)

Marcello I’m the same way. I’ve designed cards, flyers, a tri-fold brochure, even t-shirts in Keynote. The killer thing is that you can design in Keynote and either paste the contents into Photoshop as smart-objects (pseudo vector) or into Illustrator as paths.
